With Canterbury Rugby Club currently undergoing one of their best seasons in recent memory, their Chairman has spoken about how the club can look to continue to grow in the coming years.
Giles Hilton has been at the club all his life, and though he wants to continue to see his club push up the leagues and succeed, he understands that there are certain things holding them back which are beyond their control.
Canterbury are top of National League 3 and unbeaten, and well on the way to promotion, but Giles spoke of having to "accept where we are", as he discussed the limitations of being so far away from the top-class Premiership sides, such as London Wasps, Saracens, Harlequins and London Irish.
Speaking to Giles was really interesting, as both he and the club show a great understanding and desire to be the very best they can be, and to reach as high levels as the possibly can. After a difficult season last year which ended in relegation, the club are now back on the up, and hopefully, more success is just round the corner.
